The vibrancy of a College of Business is often reflected in the individual and collective intellectual contributions of its faculty, staff, and students. UWF's College of Business faculty are active scholars conducting and reporting on studies related to business practice, the theory and knowledge base of business, and the teaching-learning process in business education.
The College's intellectual contributions portfolio also includes regional and state-wide economic development studies and services provided by the Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development and the UWF Small Business Development Center.
Additionally, the College hosts the Journal of Business Issues, a double-blind refereed journal publishing articles of interest to the business community and business faculty members. The journal solicits unpublished manuscripts not currently under consideration by another publication.
The intellectual contributions of individual faculty members are reported annually through the College's annual evaluation process. The collective intellectual contributions of the College are summarized annually using the format of AACSB International's Table 10-1 (PDF), Summary of Faculty Qualifications, Intellectual Contributions, and Professional Responsibilities.
